- All users who upload or interact with content on our platform
- All third parties (including government authorities) who may request the removal of content
3. Definitions
Prohibited Content includes but is not limited to:
- Illegal Content: Material that violates criminal, intellectual property, privacy, or other laws
- Hate Speech: Content that promotes hatred or violence against a particular group based on race, religion, gender, etc.
- Terrorist or Extremist Content: Content related to terrorist organizations or promoting extremist ideologies (subject to TCO regulations)
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Strictly prohibited, subject to immediate removal and reporting to authorities
- Infringing Material: Copyrighted content used without authorization
4. Reporting Content
Users or third parties can submit takedown requests through our contact form or by emailing legal@file2sync.com. Reports should include:
- Direct link(s) or URL(s) to the content in question
- A description of why the content is suspected to be illegal or in violation of our Terms of Service
- The reporter's contact information (for follow-up or clarification, if necessary)
5. Content Review Process
Our review process includes:
- Initial Assessment: Verification of content accessibility and report validity
- Investigation: Thorough review of the content, including consultation with experts when necessary
- Decision: Removal/Disabling if violations are found, or retention if no violation is determined
- Notification: Communication with both the uploader and reporter regarding the outcome
6. TCO (Terrorist Content Online) Compliance
For reports involving terrorist or extremist content:
- Expedited removal within 1 hour of identification, subject to technical feasibility
- Notification to relevant law enforcement agencies when appropriate
7. Copyright and Intellectual Property Infringement
We comply with applicable copyright laws, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) in the United States or equivalent laws internationally. Rights holders should send valid notices of infringement to our Designated DMCA Agent at dmca@file2sync.com.
8. Appeals Process
If you believe your content was removed in error, you have the right to submit an appeal within 30 days of receiving notice of the takedown. Send an email to legal@file2sync.com with:
- Your account details
- The specific content that was removed (link or reference)
- The reason you believe the removal was incorrect
9. Legal Compliance
We comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including:
- Digital Services Act (DSA): Notice-and-action mechanism, transparency reporting, and cooperation with authorities
- Terrorist Content Online (TCO): Rapid action against terrorist or extremist content
